create a region the entire screen width and place 4 text media in it as
follows
1. stationary text (duration 10 seconds)
2. left-scrolling text (scroll speed 2, duration 30 seconds)
3. stationary text (duration 10 seconds)
4. right-scrolling text (scroll speed 2, duration 30 seconds)
set this layout active on a client, and observe:
the stationary text appears as expected
the left-scrolling text appears at the left edge of the screen and
scrolls approximately two-thirds of the way to the left edge then
the stationary text appears
the right-scrolling text never appears
after changing the scroll speed of the left- and right-scrolling text
media to 5, we now see
the stationary text appears as expected
the left-scrolling text appears at the left edge of the screen and
scrolls all the way across the display and disappears off the left edge
the stationary text appears
the right-scrolling text eventually appears this time, and manages to
scroll about two-thirds of the way to the right edge within its
30-seconds duration
Note: a similar problem occurs with down-scrolling text.
Set a test after the rework of scrolling text - confirmed that regardless of scroll speed the right/down scrolling text appears immediately.
