Auto rotate images

Would it be possible to display wallpaper in the actual orientation according to the exif value «orientation».

This can be easily achieved with a custom ImageMagick filter.
Just add "filter9 = True|Auto-orient|-auto-orient" at the end of ~/.config/variety/variety.conf and restart and you're done. You can then turn it off or on in the Effects tab.

In a future release I'll include this filter by default.

I added the suggested filter, but only the center part of the image is shown.
Is there a way to show the full image - stretched in length, but not in width?

riana-1: This is controlled by your wallpaper display mode setting in Appearance (zoom, scale, etc.), try changing the options there. https://answers.launchpad.net/variety/+faq/2163
