it doesn't happen when i try to open some program. mostly it happens when i already have firefox opened and i browse the internet but (i think) it also happens if the ff is closed and other programs are running.

This runs "python unityquantal.py", but this isn't anything which we ship in Ubuntu. It seems you run some third-party PPAs or otherwise? Do you know what unityquantal.py is, and how you got it? Without this we cannot debug this crash.

Changed in pygobject (Ubuntu):
status: New → Incomplete
summary: - python2.7 crashed with signal 5 in g_object_newv()
+ unityquantal.py aborts with assertion

Also, this looks like an assertion failure, not a crash. Please try to run "python unityquantal.py" from the appropriate directory and copy&paste the output here.

i don't have any idea how and where did i get it.

i'm sorry but i can not run what you've suggested because i reinstalled my ubuntu from zero just before your message. i intend to install most of the apps and repos that i had before, so if it'd happen again i'll let you know.
