wrong path location for s2ram or s2disk (uswusp)

Bug Description

The powersave package searches for the wrong location for the s2ram script.

The script in /usr/lib/powesave/do_acpi_sleep searches for /usr/sbin/s2ram, but the file is located under /sbin.
For s2disk this problem is the same.

Packages:
powersave 0.14.0-6ubuntu1 feisty
uswusp 0.3~cvs20060928-6ubuntu3 feisty

Thanks.

I had problems with KPowersave setting my desktop PC in "suspend to RAM" mode. The problem was because of this bug.

Thank you.

I can confirm this, my fix:
# ln -s /sbin/s2* /usr/sbin

/usr/lib/hal/scripts/linux/hal-system-power-[hibernate|suspend]-linux also have the wrong path to /usr/sbin

Thus it would probably best to fix this in package uswsusp, don't you think so?

Does anyone know if the paths changed in uswsusp some time in the path, or were they changed in powersave and hal, respectively? Where did they point to in Edgy?

Changed in powersave:
status: New → Confirmed
status: Confirmed → New

This package was never well supported and the upstream project was abandoned. It has been been removed from Ubuntu for this reason. If you are experiencing problems with it you should remove the package.
