Bug Description

Occasionally my GUI will completely hang, with only the cursor moving, and the only way to return to normal behaviour is to log into a terminal (ie. ctrl-F1) and run `unity --replace`.

This problem has been occurring sporadically ever since I installed Ubuntu 12.10, but I have only recently been able to track it down to when I close a Firefox window (it's possibly this may of course happen when closing secondary windows in other applications, not just Firefox).

I am attaching lspci output - please let me know what other output you need to debug this - I am allowing Ubuntu's default crash reporter to do its business but unfortunately I am unable to link its output to this bug report.

It might also be relevant that I regularly hibernate/restore my computer.
