Bug Description

At random times, the computer comes to almost a standstill in Kubuntu Feisty. When I open Ksysgaurd, it shows KDED taking up 95%+ of the resources.
When I look at the module in Ksysgaurd, it says : Kded [Kdeinit} - startup --application.

When I kill the process the computer works again.

I believe this is a bug when opening applications and not reported before as I have been through the previous bug reports.

The application also crashes and have have submitted reports for this.

Beleive this is critical big and needs urgent attention in Kubuntu.
Slows computer down to being unusable.
Stop system so only hard ereset could recover.

On a few occasions I have had kded hogging the CPU (bug #120893). This hasn't happened in the few days since I filed that report.

However in the last couple of days I have had it crash on me. Yesterday it crashed silently. I only found out when I discovered I couldn't print. But today it crashed on KDE launch and left me with a pop-up message. It told me the backtrace was useless, but I am attaching it anyway.

I don't know if the two behaviours described above are connected or not.

For me this is connected to kwallet. I fixed the problem on my system by following this advice:

http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php?p=2567873&postcount=2

I deleted kwalletrc (couldn't find the other file) and when I logged in again, no more problems with kded hogging the CPU.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Can you try with latest Ubuntu release? Thanks in advance.
