Binary package hint: hal
Linux Mint 3.0 beta 2 live CD in safe graphics mode (NVidia 6100 onboard graphics). System is Foxconn MB 6100MA-RS, Athlon 64 3200+, 1.5 G Ram.
Non of the *buntu 7.04 will provide better than 800x600 graphics on this system. Safe mode runs at 1280x1024 which is normal for Win XP and other Linux distributions, Mepis 6.5. PCLinuxOS 2007, Mandriva, etc.
