Bug Description
Performing the following steps when behind a proxy results in a failure message:
1. Select ISO from my local system (in this case, Xubuntu 12.04.2)
2. Select XFCE4 as the DE/WM
A console window appears with the text "STARTING PRESETS INSTALLATION", and shortly afterwards a dialog appears with the message "You are not connected to the Internet, the script will now close".
Looking at the source code, I notice that ping is being used to test if an internet connection is available. As far as I know, this will always fail when behind a proxy.

Try this script. Make it executable and overwrite the original in /usr/share/ ubuntu- builder/ extras
This script uses wget instead of ping, it should work even behind a proxy.
