Bug Description

Getting this "compiz (opengl) - Error: FBO is incomplete: GL::FRAMEBUFFER_INCOMPLETE_ATTACHMENT (0x8cd6)" spamming my .xsession-errors and awful performance.

Happens now and then, usually if I have booted in single display mode and switch to dual-monitors by putting the laptop into a docking station, or removing it from the docking station

For me it happens every time I launch "unity -reset-icons" or "unity --replace", it gives this error and get stuck. Also, I try to rebuild unity because after login I have no unity, no windows and no panel and I don't know waht else to do.
Please, help.. :) my Unity is broken and I don't know how to solve..I've tried to try solutions from other bugs, ecc, installing different versions of Nvidia proprietary drivers, removing kernel 3.8.0-17 and recompiling Nvidia drivers, still the same result..

I then solved my problem creating a new user and logging in Unity, so the problem was in my user configurations, gnome, unity, ecc. (sudo adduser myNewUser). There, with the new user I backed up some of the configurations present in the home of my old user and tried to log in with the old one and managed to do it.
It was a bit hard, but the new Unity is really great.. :D

Andrea Amoroso, thanks, this workaround, on my Xfce4 works too!

I noticed this as well, and managed to get it to go away by disabling the 'Framebuffer Objects' option in the OpenGL plugin.
