Bug Description
When using the "./my" script with mysql_upgrade, it intentionally does not pass the --default-options parameter to it.
This is incorrect, as firstly, it happily accepts and uses this parameter successfully, and secondly, without this parameter it will not correctly connect to the sandbox instance.

Trent,
Thanks for this report.
If you remove 'mysql_upgrade' from the array NODEFAULTS, does it do what you expect?
