You seem to be using a version of Ubuntu that is no longer supported. Please see https://help.ubuntu.com/community/EOLUpgrades (more specifically https://help.ubuntu.com/community/EOLUpgrades/Jaunty) to upgrade to a newer release. However, it seems you may need to manually install Ubuntu 10.04 or use the alternate CD of 9.10 (see the second link for why).
