Thank you for your bug report. i will see if i can reproduce this tomorrow sometime. What makes you think this is a security issue? normally slow graphical things that move are caused by graphics cards or drivers. What graphic card and driver are you using? is it by chance ATI?

Does this happen on other sites? im at my gutsy system atm and its slow but seems normal and it stops sometimes but i think that is so you have time to click on one of the links. I will try in feisty tomorrow. What version of firefox are you using? (apt-cache policy firefox will tell you)

thats a flash film, so nothing we can do because its proprietary. Report to adobe/macromedia directly.

The comment about not sure if it is a security vulnerability was made to submit the bug. The version of Firefox is what came with Feisty 7.04. The scroll does not seem as smooth as I remember in Dapper 6.06 and it does stop periodically. I have an nVidia graphics card and in fact when I asked Feisty to update the graphics driver from the administration menu the system failed and I had to reinstall Ubuntu again so maybe it is a card and driver issue.
