I installed several packages successfully before having it crash while installing Thunderbird.
The system in question is a Virtual machine (Kubuntu v7.04) running under VMware Server v1.0.3-44356 on a Fedora Core 4 host.

Hi,
thanks for taking the time to report this bug. Have you had any further problems installing packages following this crash? Does it occur every time you install Thunderbird. I have tried installing Thunderbird on a fully updated Kubuntu Feisty system without any trouble. If you are able to reproduce the crash it would be a big help if you could install the package gdb which contains debugging symbols and then generate a crash report. This will be contained in /var/crash following and adept crash.
