Bug Description

The default background color for the current day has not enough contrast on Ubuntu 12.04 calendar. It's hard to see what's the day. For usability and accesibility purposes, it's better to highlight a little bit more the current day's backgound color. I suggest to use the typical orange color.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. However, I am closing it because the bug has been fixed in the latest development version of Ubuntu - Raring Ringtail.

This is a significant bug in Ubuntu. If you need a fix for the bug in previous versions of Ubuntu, please do steps 1 and 2 of the SRU Procedure [1] to bring the need to a developer's attention.

Thank you very much, Fabio. However, it's so hard for most of the people to understand all this stuff. I mean... I live in Chile and hardly speak english (I have to use a translator). All I want to do is help. And when I follow the link to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/StableReleaseUpdates#Procedure, I land on a page with hundreds of instructions, very hard to understand for a normal human being.

I don't want to be rude. I just want to help but get frustrated that I can't accomplish something that "should" be so easy to do. Please try to understand my point.

Is there some way simpler to find a solution for this, other than having an expert friend of mine solving this?

Please, take this as constructive criticism. Best regards!
