Bug Description

I get this email every day:

/etc/cron.daily/logrotate:
error: error running shared postrotate script for '/var/log/mysql.log /var/log/mysql/mysql.log /var/log/mysql/mysql-slow.log '
run-parts: /etc/cron.daily/logrotate exited with return code 1

I checked the user and pass in: /etc/mysql/debian.cnf everything is correct.

I checked the source in: /etc/logrotate.d/mysql-server and i see the comment: "If this occurs and is not a error please report a bug." so that's what i'm doing.

Does anybody have the same problem ?

I'm sorry but that doesn't solve my issue. (I did check out: http://www.lornajane.net/posts/2008/Logrotate-Error-on-Ubuntu)

I already checked the user and password and all privileges and everything is correct.

There must be something else wrong. I tried every step of the: /etc/logrotate.d/mysql-server manually and everything seems correct.

Hi again...

Sorry but looks like that i'm not having these errors anymore for the last 2 days.
Which is very strange because i haven't changed anything, apart from removing mysql.log.[3-7].gz files from /var/log.

I think this issue is fixed for now, i will try to investigate further how this was solved.
