Bug Description

Binary package hint: evolution

The samba users list has recently had a thread "[SAMBA] Share's accès : how to?" but none of those messages are parsed by my filter. All the other messages from the list are filtered and moved into another folder (vai a filter on [SAMBA]) but these ones are not.

Don't really know why, but nonetheless it seems to be.

Feisty with evolution 2.10.1-0ubuntu2

Thank you for your bug. Could you describe what filter configuration you use exactly?

I am using Filter by Subject where subject contains [Samba] and move it to a folder.

I have attached a screenshot if that is helpful.

Could you please set up a log on filter, and then filter again one such message?

to set up the log run:

gconftool-2 --type bool --set /apps/evolution/mail/filters/log true
   gconftool-2 --type string --set /apps/evolution/mail/filters/logfile "~/evo-filter.log"

Replace "~evo-filter.log" by whatever filename you want.

Then filter one such message... and then please attach here the log. You might want to attach just the piece showing this particular filter due to privacy considerations.

To disable filter logging, run

gconftool-2 --type bool --set /apps/evolution/mail/filters/log false

I would like to see what is it Evo is trying to do on your rule.

Looks like that last evolution update fixed it... I have been trying and am unable to replicate the behavior... Call this one closed

Before I close it... Feisty Evolution has not changed, so I am unsure how this could have been solved by any updates.

Or are you running Gutsy Evolution?

I cannot believe I forgot to mention that.... I upgraded evolution to Gutsy (hurray for apt pinning). Completely slipped my mind.... Sorry about that....

I will close it as fix released -- Evo 2.11.5.

Thank you, and take care.
