I'm using Feisty
I got the driver for the Canon MP600 from the following webiste http://www.canon.com.au/products/all_in_one_printers/all_in_one_printers/mp600_support.aspx clicked on download drivers and downloaded the linux drivers for the MP600. They were in an rpm format and so I used alien and converted them to .deb. I then installed, clicked on the MP600 driver now available in the printer adding wizard, under canon, and installed the printer. However, now, when I go to print, I get no error message, but nothing prints. They printer is on a network attached by USB to another computer, and I have been able to print before on this printer with the canon ip4200 driver, I'm clueless on how to get the mp600 driver to work.
I am also using Feisty and have the very same problem, same driver form the same source (only one available as far as I know). My printer is directly connected to computer. Printer appears as installed, ready and evensays "printing" for about 5 seconds when I try to print test page but nothing prints. BTW, the MP 500 and IP 4200 drivers work for me, except for high quality photo printing. I was hoping the MP600 would help with that but it is not working at all.
