I installed Google Earth and experienced crash when starting.

Cured by enabling 'Restricted drivers'. In particular the 3D graphics card a nVidia GeForce4 MX440

Select SYSTEM / ADMINISTRATION / RESTRICTED DRIVERS MANAGER, Tick the necessary box and restart the computer when instructed
