Cannot print, open print menu and the print option is greyed out. The options are the options for "print to file" but I do not have that selected, I have the printer name selected.

Thank you for your bug. Could you make a screenshot? Could you run evolution on a command line and note if any message is written there?

Could you install gtk2.0-example, run gtk-demo and try if it does the same?

Hi,

I made a screenshot.

After installing gtk2.0-example and running gtk-demo, I see that gtk-demo makes the same as Evolution (my Oki printer doesn't work).

If I start Evolution on a command line and I choice my Oki printer in the printing-menue this error code comes:

** (evolution-2.10:7445): WARNING **: Error result: HTTP Error in GET Success

gtk-demo shows the same error code, if I try to print.

Would be interesting to try with GTK 2.10.12 from gutsy, there is a change to make raw printers work and that might fix the bug

marking fixed, feel free to reopen if that still happen with the gutsy version

Hi all, I am using gentoo with evolution-2.10 on my laptop and an ubuntu-7.04 as print-server and have exactly the same problem since my upgrade on evolution-2.10. I tested gtk-2.10.12 on gentoo and it doesn't help. So I think the situation will be the same with ubuntu and gnome in genereal.

the bug is supposed to be fixed in gutsy, did you try with GTK 2.10.12 before reopening the bug?

I need to change my complete network setup for testing this with ubuntu (will become difficult), because the ubuntu-system is the print-server itself and this problem doesn't occour with local printers. But I am sure that it is not fixed by GTK-2.10.12 (I am able to upgrade only THIS on gentoo).

Are you sure that this is not fixed by another dependency from "gussy"? gnome-print?

I tryed now GTK-2.10.13 and creating a fake ppd-file like here http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=370685

Now success.
