I installed No problem and I executed it...

It doesn't display right (white silluette) using desktop effects. Either than that, I got no dependency problems.

Now try aptitude search xteddy and check the depends on the package.

Are you using the official Ubuntu repositories?

I was using the default GB repositories, changes to main and rebooted, fsck detected root file error and corrected. Now package manager working!
