Applications launched maximised have gap down the right hand side

To reproduce

- Launch nautilus, unmaximise it and then maximise it again
- Launch Firefox from the dock (it must launch maximised, so if it's not, maximise it then close and launch again)
- Click on the very far right of the Firefox window, there is a small gap so clicking will bring the Nautilus window to the front

I noticed this whilst trying to scroll in Firefox and then other windows kept coming to the front, I didn't know why. If you set a blue wallpaper for example you will see the gap on the right clearly.

If you maximise windows manually this does not happen. It only happens when launching maximised windows. I believe this applies to all applications
