Bug Description

If I give to build a new project then kdevelop reports this message:

./admin/cvs.sh: 651: --version: not found
*** AUTOCONF NOT FOUND!.
*** KDE requires autoconf 2.53 or newer
make[1]: *** [cvs] Error 1
make: *** [all] Error 2
*** Exited with status: 2 ***

I have installed latest version of autoconf from ubuntu repositories (version 2.61). I think there is something wrong in kdevelop package.

I'm seeing the same problem and have autoconf 2.61 installed also. Am using Kubuntu and am trying to compile the Kdenlive code from source (according to these instructions: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=322916 ).

Searching around I found this discussion on a very similar error in Debian: http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2006/07/msg00958.html also see the reply from Stephen Gran: http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2006/07/msg00970.html

It seems KDE lacks a robust method for checking the autoconf version installed.

Sorry for the false alarm. The issue I reported was because I needed to have the 'unsermake' package installed. Ignore my confirmation of this bug.
