low fps rate under unity dash

Bug Description

When i open the unity dash the fps rate suddenly decreases and windows start to hang out.
My video card ati radeon hd7470m and i'm using mesa gallium driver (Gallium 0.4 on AMD CAICOS ) and mesa drivers have more performance than fglrx in my laptop.

Ubuntu 12.10 reached end-of-life so it's no longer supported. Can you
still reproduce this bug on 14.04 (or laters)?
