Bug Description

Binary package hint: obexfs

In Feisty, obexfs incorrectly displays non-english characters in directory names.
For example nokia 6021 phone obex filesystem folders (in czech language)
Témata, Tóny, Obrázky, Nahrávky are displayed as T%E9mata, T%F3ny,
Obr%E1zky, Nahr%E1vky. As a result, it is also impossible to copy any files to those directories.

This problem can be the same as this one (upstream) http://dev.zuckschwerdt.org/openobex/ticket/4
which is already fixed so this bug can be probably fixed by merging upstream patch.

Precisely, nautilus displays this message when attempt to copy file into on of those folders (e.g. Tóny):
  Error while copying to "file:///mnt...bile/T%F3ny".

One more observation, probably linked:
if the disc drive name contains national characters, the mounted filesystem may contain invalid entries.

obexftp -l returns wise XML (C: and E: entries for my nokia E50), while after mounting this over obexfs
i get two "E:" subdirs. The C: drive's name (which is "Pamięć telefonu" in polish) is probably causing problems.
After switching the phone to english (C: becames "Phone memory") everything starts working.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue for you. Can you try with the latest Ubuntu release? Thanks in advance.
