Wow, how fast did 2007-6 made it into ubuntu, it was uploaded only
today.

Yes there is a bug, edit
 /var/lib/dpkg/info/texlive-base-bin.postinst
and replace
 update-alternative
with
 update-alternatives
(only one time, mark the s)

Next version will fix it.
