Bug Description

I have some problem with clamtk and perl when i do a Recursive scan with the option follow symbolic link.

sudo clamtk
Password:
*** unhandled exception in callback:
*** /proc/self/fd/0 is encountered a second time at /usr/share/perl/5.8/File/Find.pm line 542.
*** ignoring at /usr/bin/clamtk line 576.

I found that on google:

http://groups.google.com/group/linux.debian.bugs.dist/browse_thread/thread/492c69b4c077c34e/02b296f4b1267157

maybe there is a problem with the new update of perl?

I assume this was with Feisty? If you've upgraded to Gutsy, please let me know if you still have the problem. If not, please try the version in feisty-backports and let me know if that solves it.

Hi, I'm now on gutsy (freshly install)

I've the same problem with the version of clamtk in the repository and with the latest version 3.07 present in the web site:

*** unhandled exception in callback:
*** /home/ouioui/.wine/drive_c encountered a second time at /usr/share/perl/5.8/File/Find.pm line 566.
*** ignoring at /usr/bin/clamtk line 572.
SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

I cannot scan /etc or /home recursively...

Sorry that gutsy didn't solve the problem

I'm totally unable to reproduce this. It looks like clamtk is not capturing and processing a Perl error as it should. I'd recommend you report this upstream and see if they can figure it out. Thanks for the hint on 3.07. It's uploaded to Hardy now.

I figured out the problem. Give it a few days and 3.08 should fix this.

Thanks!

3.08 is uploaded and will be in the archives (for Hardy) once it's published and built.
