Lightdm not loading properly on bootup

Bug Description

(Ubuntu 12.10) Most often when booting up, lightdm doesn't load the login screen. Usually I get the "System is running in low-graphics mode" error screen, from which point I have to press Ctrl-Alt-Esc in order to get to a command line. If I then run `sudo service lightdm start` the login screen will usually pop up, seemingly fine, and I'm able to login. However, once in a while if I press Escape I will get thrown back to the command (although the lightdm still seems to remain running, because if I run the `sudo service lightdm start` command again it says lightdm is already running.

Sometimes, lightdm seems to load properly and I can login to Ubuntu, but this is rare.

This has been a problem since I first installed Ubuntu 12.10 a few days ago.

If I install gdm and run that instead of lightdm, I'm able to get to the login screen and login without problem every time the computer starts up, but it's not a viable alternative because of the way gdm works with Ubuntu 12.10.

lightdm.log attached.
