Bug Description

Binary package hint: gaim

This is mostly inconsistent, and crashes in about 1/2 of all file transfers. I found some things that trigger it (at least sometimes) and other times, I can't. A flickering connection or someone canceling the file transfer seem to provoke it (the cancel about 2/3 of the time, while the choppy connection almost always does). Sometimes as soon as I start the transfer it crashes (particularly with large files) and transferring a second file (especially while another is still transferring), even in a different protocol than before. The bug has been lingering for a while, but I don't know how long. Given the inconsistency, and the fact that I don't have too many things to transfer, it is not something I can easily reproduce.
