Ubuntu 12.10 does not update the weather

It won't refresh the weather on my 12.04 system either unless I click on the "Refresh Weather" link in the menu. I have it set to refresh every 15 minutes.

The link for refeshing the weather in the menu always says "Updated Now" beside it, too.

I am having the same problems as Mr. Cope. I'm using Weather Underground with API key, refresh interval set to 15 minutes. Also tried with Yahoo @ 15 minute intervals. and WU @ 30 minute intervals.

This is the same thing reported at https://answers.launchpad.net/my-weather-indicator/+question/226666. You can close or mark duplicate that one.

In order to get more info, i just started it from the command line, using the command from the autostart entry. Will report back.

0.6.3 seems to have solved the problem. I can also access World Weather Online now. I've switched back to Weather Underground to test that.

More weirdness. Updates fine with World Weather Online, won't refresh with Weather Underground. This is the 0.6.3 update.

Anything I can do to gather more info on this for thee developers?

Same problem on Ubuntu 14.04 (32bit), my-weather-indicator version is 0.6.7-0extras14.04.4. After manual refresh it keeps refreshing automatically for a while, but I don't know for how long.

Auto refresh seems to stop working after I manually refresh the first time, after which it constantly says (update now) after the link in the menu.
