libxml2-doc lacks html/index.html

Binary package hint: libxml2-doc

libxml2-doc lacks the file
/usr/share/doc/libxml2-doc/html/index.html
which is the entry file for the API docs. Pretty annoying, as it is an important entry point and linked to from a lot of places.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. It's present in Feisty and in Gutsy, which version of Ubuntu are you running?

Feisty. And I definitely do not have the file
/usr/share/doc/libxml2-doc/html/index.html

The package version of libxml2-doc is 2.6.27.dfsg-1.ubuntu3, which lacks that file.

May you give us the output of : " dpkg -L libxml2-doc |grep index " I have exactly the same package and i have the file.

# dpkg -L libxml2-doc |grep index
/usr/share/doc/libxml2-doc/examples/index.html
/usr/share/doc/libxml2-doc/index.html
/usr/share/doc/libxml2-doc/tutorial/index.html
/usr/share/gtk-doc/html/libxml2/index.html

As I said, "/usr/share/doc/libxml2-doc/html/index.html" is missing. I also tried reinstalling the package - no difference.

Ok, I've reinstalled it and it seems to be missed in Feisty. This is fixed in the Gutsy package, is there any change you may test it? you can get an image from here : http://www.ubuntu.com/testing/ ; thanks in advance.
