Bug Description
On Ubuntu 12.04.2 compiz let the system swap. Htop shows for compiz VIRT(1663M) RES(110M) - my box has 6GB of RAM and never swap and now it is already at 600 MB after an uptime of: 1 day, 24 min., uname -a 3.5.0-23-generic #35-precise1-Ubuntu SMP.
