Keyboard not working properly when installing Feisty Fawn (Xubuntu)

Bug Description
Had a funny and time wasting issue when installing Feisty Fawn alternative CD.
When keyboard setup came up, I picked my local keyboard layout (Slovene) and continued. However, when hostname came up, I could not edit it, because alphabet part of my keyboard didn't function. So, I left it as is, and continued. Later I got prompted for User details and I could not edit them for previous mentioned reason. I still continued and it let me even to finish installation (after 2 hours of installing on Pentium 200 MMx with 128MB of RAM). However, since ubuntu locks root user, I was unable to login.
Reinstall...
This time I left keyboard set to US english and you would not imagine. I never experienced any difficulties.
Should this happen in stable release?
