Bug Description
Hi,
This might be by design, but it's hard to figure the locally installed and also latest versions of Ubuntu One for Windows.
I've discovered this while trying to check the local and remote version number, and I've found this really hard. The version number would show up as 4.0.0 in the Windows list of programs that can be uninstalled before the update, but after the update I couldn't tell which version I was running (filing a separate bug for this). It's also not obvious to tell which version is up for download, short of downloading the file and seeing that it's named -4.x.y.exe.
There is a 0.1 version number in syncdaemon.log which seems to come from windows/
There's also a version_id = 1004 in C:\Program Files (x86)\ubuntuone
Thanks,

bug #1126142 is about U1 disappearing from Windows installed program list after an update, which is a place where one can otherwise get a U1 version number from.
