Bug Description
Files now displays the number of distinct file operations in progress in a dock badge. This is a bad idea because dock badges should show only the number of items that need attention from the user, as per elementary HIG: http://
Please remove the code for displaying the dock badge from Files.

I'll throw my +1 to the report. It seems kind of an odd usage of the dock badge. I think the badge would imply that you have items you need to give your attention, but there's nothing you can really do about a file transfer except cancel it.
