bug on resseting pass-word

Bug Description

In a Version 7.0-20130207-002327, logged as Admin,, if I want to resset the Pass Word of an user, I get a warning :

Impossible d'envoyer des courriels : aucun serveur de courriel sortant n'est configuré.
Vous pouvez le configurer dans : Configuration/Paramètres généraux.

But the out-going web mail is set and working…

The error message is not accurate, sometimes the server is configured but OpenERP fail to send email using it.

You shall look at your log and see if prior to ERROR amr openerp.addons.mail.mail_mail: failed sending mail.mail there is an ERROR amr openerp.addons.base.ir.ir_mail_server. This error may indicate what's the real problem.

Eg. in my case this was : "Client does not have permissions to send as this sender…" for the form field did not correspond to the account.

Do you want to requalify the bug to tell that error message is not accurate ?

Hello Alex,

Which email server you are using ? e.g. Microsoft office 365 email server. As With SMTP and IMAP servers its working fine. Would you please provide more on this issue with proper steps ?
