Bug Description

Binary package hint: unixodbc-bin

Ubuntu Feisty Fawn 7.04

After installing unixodbc-bin package by synaptic, there is no hint how to execute ODBCConfig or other utilities from the package.

I think an icon on System>Administration would be the right think, but it's up to you.

It would be nice if ODBCConfig suggest us what packages should be installed in order to have the my database driver working properly.

thanks in advance.

In 14.04, the GUI tools are now built from the unixodbc-gui-qt source package.

This is still an issue, though; there are no .desktop files for these tools.

affects: unixodbc (Ubuntu) → unixodbc-gui-qt (Ubuntu)
