Lightdm background doesn't change

I did a totally clean install from today's daily raring iso. Now the lightdm background refuses to change when I change my wallpaper. If I change the backgroung either via one of the default backgrounds in the control center or via eog lightdm keeps using the purple background.

Thank you for your bug report, do you select a background image which is world readable?

I ran the gsettings command from the description and it works now

[Launchpad Janitor (janitor)]

Status changed to 'Confirmed' because the bug affects multiple users.
