Network connection test incorrectly fails

First of all, thank you very much for your efforts. This tool is both a fantastic idea and practical. However, when I run the application, I do have some functionality issues;

After selecting a font from the font list, in the main display window of the tool I receive a message "No Internet Connection" although I can still install the font without any problem.

Is this a known bug, or am I not running the application with the proper permissions?

The Google IP address that I ping to make sure that there is a network connection seems to not be available anymore. I'll push an update to the PPA shortly.

Okay, it seems this bug is only affecting Ubuntu 12.04. TypeCatcher worked flawlessly in both 12.10 and 13.04.

Still getting the "No conncection" message.

It seems that I forgot to upload the new version to the PPA for 12.04. It should be available shortly.
