This happens because the scratch process is not properly restated.

This bug should be solved together with Bug #1117806.

The issue is solved by normalizing the scratch start to mouse position instead of 0.
This does not solve the underlying sync issue with the two control objects but solves the notable effect.
the patch includes also the changes from Bug #1086999
