Battery idicator wrong

My battery idicator at the top right of the panel stays at full charge even though my battery is discharging. Of course once it hits a critical state it drops down and says to conect to power. aLso when connected to the AC adapter the charging animation does not show up.

The root cause of this seems to be the same as LP: #1054209, therefore I'm making this a duplicate of the other report.
