Bug Description

Binary package hint: democracyplayer

I would leave my computer alone and come back later to find my computer unresponsive and the CPU reading at 100% usage. I did not find out what was doing this until I noticed my computer slow down then I launched htop to find out that the democracy player, by itself, was using up 80% of my CPU usage. I maximized Democracy player and it did not seem to be doing much, just downloading 4 videos, so, I do not know how it is causing so much CPU usage.

My computer is a desktop with a AMD Sempron 2.8+ Ghz and I have a full gig of ram.

Is this symptom still reproducible in 8.10 beta?
