Serpentine does not work with LG 'HL-DT-ST CD-RW GCE-8523B"

When I put blank CD-R, CD+R, CD-RW, the correct popup comes up asking me if I would like to ignore, make audio cd, or make data cd. I choose audio cd and serpentine opens, I create a playlist of files to put on disc and when I press write to disc, the progress box comes up with preparing media files, then about 1 minute later, it tells me to insert blank disc.
