Zyxel ZyAir G-220v2 wireless card doesn't work with zd1211rw module

I have the forementioned card and I know that, since kernel 2.6.18, it should be supported by zd1211rw driver. The problem is that the bus_id of this particular card is not listed in the driver and so the card isn't recognized. Luckily the fix is very easy and there's already a patch floating around

I applied that and after recompiling the relevant modules everything works fine.

Please add this simple patch in the updates both of the kernel sources and of the kernel image in order to have this wireless card work by default

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. This bug does not meet the criteria for a stable release update and is being marked as Won't Fix for this particular version of the kernel. However, the issue that you reported is one that should be possible to test with the live environment of the Desktop CD of the development release - Gutsy Gibbon. It would help us greatly if you could test with it so we can work on getting it fixed in the actively developed kernel. I downloaded and Installed Tribe 5 on a virtual machine. The patch is already applied in the linux-source-2.6.22 package, so the Zyxel ZyAir G-220v2 wireless card should just work fine. At the moment I can't test the card, but I consider the bug to be fixed in the next stable version. In case of any further problem I can always reopen the bug.
