libode version needs updating (latest is 0.8, released 01/07)

Binary package hint: libode-dev

The version of libode included in both edgy and feisty is very old (v0.5). The latest version, released four months ago, contains many new features and would make a nice inclusion. Debian experimental has packages for 0.7, it would probably be a trivial task to adapt these for 0.8.

Attached is the source for packaging for 0.8 - I adapted the 0.5 packaging and I've no idea if this follows on nicely from 0.5 or conforms to packaging standards or whatever, but hopefully it's a start for whoever's meant to be maintaining this package?

Hi all,
I got 'libode0c2' version 1:0.8.dfsg-1 from Debian Unstable and backported it to Ubuntu Feisty. Actually I made it because I'm having a problem with 'balazar' game doesn't opening, and after search for this error "undefined symbol: dGeomCylinderGetParams" on internet I found out some people saying that it was because of old ODE library. Anyway, It didn't solved my problem, now causing another error not related to ODE anymore (I guess).

ps: I had no headaches when backporting this package, package deps aren't difficult to get and everything built well.

ode 1:0.8.dfsg-3 has been sync'd from Debian into Gutsy. I shall close this bug when it has built on all arches.
