Wrong/inconsistent display of attachment file sizes

This is especially noticeable for emails with very large attachments.

For example, in the email list window the "size" column will display 61 MB, but when I click on this email, at the bottom of the text the file is listed as being 47 MB.

Then, when I download the attachment, it tells it is downloading 61MB, but at about 70% the download is finished and the downloaded file size on disk is only 47 MB.

IMHO the reason is the ASCII-armouring of email attachments which increases the file size. So it is actually correct that the mail size is 61MB, even though the attached data is only 47MB. But it is confusing for the user who doesn't understand the technical details of how email attachments are encoded.
