Continued problem. Ubuntu Raring 3.8.0-9. Synaptic indicates under "Dependencies" that nspluginwrapper "conflicts" with nspluginwrapper.

On my raring system nspluginwrappers looks to be installed

However

nspluginwrapper --list

segfaults and

sudo nspluginwrapper --list

does not segfault but reports nothing

Should nsplugin wrapper be taught not to wrap gecko mediaplayer stuff?

Other distros seem to be able to say something like

export IGNORE_WRAP="libtotem*:libjavaplugin*:gecko-media*"

in /etc/sysconfig/nspluginwrapper

found nothing like that in raring...

Building off what brian-murray said, I did apt-get --purge remove totem-mozilla and now do not get segfaults when reinstalling or when running 'nspluginwrapper --list'.

I managed to make nspluginwrapper work by installing:

sudo apt-get install libnss3:i386

One can get more info abut the error with -v option (verbose):

sudo nspluginwrapper -v -i /usr/lib/flashplugin-installer/libflashplayer.so

It still doesn't work, the plugin now shows up in Chrome and Firefox settings, but the Flash area is blank.
