Bug Description
kubuntu installs slowly and will not recon floppy drive. some instances while on line it won't recon java.

What do you mean by "will not recon floppy drive" or "recon java"?
I am guessing these are two different issues if they are issues, however we would need more information for this report in order to track down the issue.
