can't delete files through Kate open document dialog

When in Kate, if you click the open button, it brings up an open document dialog. When you right click on a file and click "move to trash", and error dialog pops up saying "Could not start process Unable to create io-slave: klauncher said: Unknown protocol 'trash'".

Thanks for the bug report.

It looks like you are missing the kdebase-kio-plugins package. Please can you confirm that this package is not installed on your system and if you can please try installing it to see if it removes this problem.

It is possible that was the cause. I have reinstalled my distro since then so I can't check to see if it was or was not installed. I just tested it and it now works, so perhaps I just missed it before. I wasn't aware of what functionality it provided. Thanks for your help.

kubuntu-desktop depends on kdebase-kio-plugins so it should be installed by default. Added to the reporter not being able to give any more information, I am marking as rejected. If anyone sees this behaviour, please re-open.

Oops, just noticed that it was running under gnome. My second points stands and it should be installed as kate --> kdebase --> kdebase-kio-plugins.
