Bug Description

Hi,

I run Kubuntu 7.04 on a Dell Inspiron B130 (1300) laptop. When I change the default value for the monitor powersaving in the control center to 10 minutes, it breaks KDE so that I can no longer log in. It's reproducable every time. The xorg config doesn't seem to be damaged, because my KDM screen is fine. This is a major, confusing bug for new users.

Thanks!

Can you run "displayconfig-restore" from command line and report what does it display in console?
