Bug Description
On current Ubuntu Precise:
mbp@joy% sudo apt-get install ldc
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
ldc : Depends: libllvm2.7 but it is not installable
Recommends: libtango-ldc-dev but it is not going to be installed
E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.
There doesn't seem to be any libllvm2.7 in Precise? This may need to be rebuilt against a later llvm (if it's compatible.)
Thanks for taking your time to report this issue and help making Ubuntu better.
I get the same error message attempting to install ldc 0.9.2+hg1655- 0ubuntu4 on Ubuntu 12.04.
